What’s new in the Aspose.CAD for Java 23.12

Release Highlights

Aspose.CAD for Java 23.12 delivers broad enhancements to DWG, STP, and SVG file handling. It improves rendering of faceted meshes, hatch boundaries, SHX text (including vertical support), and symbol exports. This release also resolves issues in DWG-to-DWG, DWG-to-3DS, and SVG-to-STP conversions, and adds new support for HoloLens integration.

Enhancements

  • DWG Improvements

    • Faster and more accurate DWG-to-DWG export.
    • Resolved issues with caching, inserts, and text positioning.
    • Support for embedding raster images and SHX text (including vertical layout).
    • Fixed export of special characters like “t” in gdt.shx.

  • STP/STL/3DS Enhancements

    • Fixed broken STL to STP and DWG to 3DS conversions.
    • Improved mesh rendering for faceted and AcDsPrototype_1b entities.
    • Enhanced STP rendering precision and error handling.

  • SVG Compatibility

    • Fixed SVG loading hangups, size miscalculations, and conversion to STP.
    • Added support for image elements during SVG import.

  • DWF/DXG/IFC/IGS Fixes

    • Solved loading issues and broken rendering in DWFX, IFC, and IGS formats.

  • Rendering & Export

    • Improved camera matrix calculations for 3D PDF.
    • Support for HoloLens scenarios in the API.
    • Resolved WMF export issue with raster content.

Public API and Backward Incompatible Changes

    • HoloLens support introduced for advanced 3D visualization workflows.
