• CHM File Format Support:
  Introduced FileFormatType.Chm and LoadFormat.Chm enums to recognize and work with CHM (compiled HTML help) files.

• External Connection Management Expanded:

  • Added properties like classType, sourceType, connectionFile, command, commandType, and more in ExternalConnection for deeper control.
  • Deprecated connectionId and replaced it with id.

• Pivot Table Enhancements:

  • Added PivotTable.getSourceDataConnections() and getNamesOfSourceDataConnections() for external source access.
  • New PivotRefreshState provides a non-exceptional way to track refresh results.

Enhancements

• Unified Behavior for Deleting Blank Rows and Columns:

  • Both deleteBlankRows() and deleteBlankColumns() now ignore drawing objects by default.
  • To preserve drawings, use DeleteBlankOptions.setDrawingsAsBlank(false).

• Formula Parsing Control:

  • New method Cell.setFormula(String formula, FormulaParseOptions options) gives users more control when setting formulas with custom parsing behavior.

• Improved Date Formatting:

  • Now supports formatting invalid date 1900-02-29 to mimic Excel behavior for legacy compatibility.

• Performance and Compatibility Fixes:

  • Enhanced performance of Cells.clearContents().
  • Fixed Eclipse compile-time error due to aspose-cells.jar structure in certain setups.

• Rendering and Conversion:

  • Fixed incorrect placement of flowchart arrows and missing images in XLSX to PDF conversions.
  • Restored original text color in Waterfall chart labels.
  • Resolved background color mismatches and inconsistent data rendering when saving to HTML.

• Formula and Precision Issues:

  • Fixed incorrect formula calculation under FormulaSettings.setPrecisionAsDisplayed(true) on JDK 8+.
  • Corrected TEXTJOIN() behavior to align with Excel.

• Pivot Table and Range Handling:

  • Ensured pivot field title “Total” appears in report layouts.
  • Restored named ranges lost during XLSX to XLSB conversions.
