Aspose.Cells for Java 25.1 delivers refined HTML and DOCX export features, major improvements to PivotTable API design, and optimized HTML output via CSS custom properties. It also resolves rendering issues and enhances compatibility across document formats.

Enhancements

• Rich Text Export in DOCX:
  Excel content with rich formatting is now accurately exported to DOCX, including support for line breaks, font styling, and alignment.

• Optimized HTML Output with CSS Variables:
  The new HtmlSaveOptions.enableCssCustomProperties property allows repeated visual elements like base64 images to be reused via CSS variables, significantly reducing HTML file size.

• Improved PivotTable Customization:

  • PivotConditionalFormat and PivotConditionalFormatCollection replace the deprecated PivotFormatCondition types.
  • Several outdated methods and properties are now replaced with more intuitive counterparts:
    • PivotTable.moveTo() (replaces move())
    • showRowGrandTotals, showColumnGrandTotals (replace rowGrand, columnGrand)
    • allowMultipleFiltersPerField (replaces isMultipleFieldFilters)
    • conditionalFormats (replaces pivotFormatConditions)
    • getHorizontalPageBreaks() (replaces getHorizontalBreaks())

• Extended AutoFilter and Calculation Engine Capabilities:

  • AutoFilter.getCellArea(boolean refreshAppliedRange) returns a recalculated filter area.
  • AbstractCalculationEngine.skipCalculation() enables conditional formula skipping during evaluation.

• Style Management and Cell Area Targeting:

  • Workbook.createStyle(boolean cloneDefaultStyle) creates custom styles with optional cloning.
  • PivotArea.selectField() and getCellAreas() allow developers to identify and manipulate pivot-targeted cell ranges.

Bug Fixes

• Export and Rendering Fixes:

  • Fixed issues with misplaced/skewed text and truncation during Excel to PDF conversion.
  • Resolved layout distortions, extra borders, and ID attribute issues during Excel to HTML conversion.
  • Corrected missing patterns, number formatting, and row label issues in PivotTable exports.

• DOCX and Pivot Table Accuracy:

  • Maintained linefeeds/line breaks when saving Excel to DOCX.
  • Fixed drag-and-drop malfunctions in Pivot calculated field interaction.
  • Ensured consistent number formatting with PivotTable.formatAll(dxfStyle).
