Release Highlights

Aspose.GIS for .NET 25.2 expands coordinate system interoperability by adding built-in support for converting to and from GARS, Google Plus Code, and Maidenhead locator formats.

✳️ New Feature

  • GARS Format Support:

    • Convert geographic coordinates to/from GARS (Global Area Reference System), widely used in defense and aviation.
    • Example: GeoConvert.AsPointText(80.0, 151.0, PointFormats.Gars) returns "663QE37".

  • Google Plus Codes Support:

    • Added ability to encode/decode coordinates using Open Location Code (OLC), also known as Plus Codes.
    • Great for applications in global navigation and offline geolocation.

  • Maidenhead Grid Locator Support:

    • Encode/decode locations using the Maidenhead format, commonly used in amateur radio and grid-based geolocation.

🔧 Enhancement

  • No enhancements were introduced apart from new features.

🛠 Fix

  • No bug fixes recorded in this release.
