Release Highlights

Aspose.GIS for .NET 25.4 significantly expands data format support with GML write functionality, BigTIFF GeoTIFF handling, and modern .NET compatibility. Enhanced database save logic, improved FileGDB geometry handling, and new API options ensure greater flexibility across spatial workflows.

✳️ New Feature

  • GML Format Export:

    • Introduced GmlDriver.CreateLayer and GmlOptions.ApplicationNamespace for writing valid GML feature collections with application schemas.

  • Auto ID Support in SaveTo():

    • Automatically assigns feature IDs during GeoJSON export using AutoId = AutoIds.Number.

  • BigTIFF (GeoTIFF) Support:

    • Enables loading of large raster datasets in BigTIFF format.
    • Supports full band statistics, SRS validation, cell size/scaling checks.

  • MapInfo Interchange & FileGDB (Z/M):

    • Writing FileGDB geometries now respects HasZ and HasM configurations reliably.

  • .NET 6 & .NET 8 Support with Aspose.Drawing:

    • New builds are compatible with latest .NET platforms via Aspose.Drawing integration, replacing System.Drawing.

    • Enhanced abstraction path logic for multi-stream shapefiles.
