Release Highlights

Aspose.OCR for .NET 24.12.0 (DLLs Only) introduces Mongolian OCR, a new container for recognition results, and refined memory and performance management.

✳️ New Feature

  • Support for Mongolian (Cyrillic): Added new Language.Mon with support for mixed-script Mongolian OCR.
  • OcrOutput Class: A memory-optimized result container replaces List<RecognitionResult> — backward compatible.
  • ReleaseMemory() API: Programmatically unload unused OCR modules to reduce RAM consumption.

🔧 Enhancement

  • PDF Save Performance: Exporting to searchable PDF is now faster and more efficient.
  • Text Rendering Accuracy: Improved line height calculation for cleaner layout in PDF output.

⚠️ Deprecation Notice

Aspose.OCR for .NET 25.1.0 (Jan 2025) will remove:

  • 🗑️ Deprecated Language.* codes (use ISO 639-2 versions instead).
  • 🗑️ Country.UNIVERSAL → use Country.NONE for suppressing passport data extraction.
  • 🗑️ Old DetectAreasMode values:
    • Deprecated: NONE, TEXT_IN_WILD, PHOTO, COMBINE, DOCUMENT
    • Use Instead: LEAN, UNIVERSAL, MULTICOLUMN
